One of the most famous representatives of the post-grunge movement back in Switzerland
Filter was formed in Cleveland, Ohio in 1993 when Patrick left Nine Inch Nails. Now he and his band Filter are visiting Switzerland! They are waiting for you at Dynamo Zurich on Tuesday, March 19, 2024.
Tickets are available via Ticketcorner.ch.
Filter’s debut album Short Bus was released in 1995. The album’s success can be attributed primarily to the band’s first single Hey Man Nice Shot. The follow-up album Title of Record from 1999, like the first album, was certified platinum, mainly due to the great crossover success of the song Take a Picture.
Filter’s third album, The Amalgamut, was released in 2002. Sales stalled, but the album still spawned classics like Where Do We Go from Here and American Cliché. In 2006, the Army of Anyone project – a supergroup that Patrick led along with Dean and Robert DeLeo of the Stone Temple Pilots and Ray Luzier of Korn – was launched. The group released one album and toured once before each returned to their respective bands. Patrick refocused on Filter, releasing Anthems for the Damned (2008), The Trouble with Angels (2010), The Sun Comes Out Tonight (2013) and Crazy Eyes (2016), as well as two singles (2020).
Now, more focused than ever, Patrick is in the middle of recording a highly anticipated new Filter album (due for release in 2023 on Golden Robot Records). He also continues to work on film music, producing, writing, recording and collaborating with other musicians in all genres of music.
