The streamers Anni the Duck and Reved were in a relationship until 2022, which they mutually ended according to statements from both parties. But apparently their partnership was anything but harmonious, as Mowky’s allegations have now become public.
Both Antonia “Reved” Staab and Anissa “Anni the Duck” Baddour are among the biggest gaming influencers in the German-speaking area. The two were in a relationship for some time, but ended it in November 2022; according to statements from both parties, there was no bad blood.
Anni the Duck also worked regularly with the streamer Mowky, but recently there have been no more collaborations. Now we know why, because Mowky has released an emotional statement in which she makes serious allegations.
Before we get into the details, a trigger warning: The following is about emotional and physical health, animal abuse, body shaming and abuse of power.
This is what Mowky’s post reads: “I have experienced attacks, abuse and animal cruelty. For months I have been the victim of a brutal smear campaign and attempts at control. As a result of their ongoing psychological terror, I have developed a nervous disease, chronic tension pain and stress rashes all over my body, which I have regularly Panic attacks and fainting spells have made it difficult for me to stay afloat this week despite therapy, medication and self-help.”
She also states that she suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), which is triggered every time Anni is mentioned. Accordingly, she asks not to mention the person anymore and hopes for understanding.
In a livestream yesterday, Reved also spoke out and made similarly serious allegations against Anni. She describes the relationship at that time as the worst time of her life and says that it “sucked up all of her life energy.”
She also claims to suffer from PTSD, as well as chronic headaches, which even led to a break from streaming. The PTSD also resulted in severe muscle tension. When she told Anni that she was afraid of suffering from depression, she simply dismissed it. Even when Reved was spitting blood because of the stress, Anni replied that she should just lie down, that her ex-boyfriend had had that before and that it would go away quickly.
In addition, Anni humiliated her by constantly commenting on Reved’s appearance and kept her self-esteem low. She explains: “I had too much on my hips and was no longer attractive. Then I had too little on my hips and looked almost like Sophia Thiel and she no longer found that attractive. I did my eyeliner wrong, My make-up would be wrong, my hair would be styled incorrectly, bucket hats would no longer suit me. I should go to the other hairdresser. All this, all these comments, all these taunts, this ‘Look, I think this person is great’. attractive and she’s the exact opposite of me.'”
In addition, Anni did not take proper care of her cats. The two animals don’t get along, but Anni refuses to give up a cat. When Reved finally said she would take one of the animals, she initially agreed, but then changed her mind again. Ultimately, Reved even tried to go for couples therapy, but when Anni rejected it, she drew the final line.
