The Apollo Tires brand recently launched a new 385/55 R22.5 variant of its popular EnduMile LHT long-distance trailer (LHT) tyre, its most fuel-efficient truck trailer product. The new product is now available across Europe and complements the EnduMile LHT offering, launched in the 385/65 R22.5 format in October last year.
Apollo Tyres’ first LHT tire sets new benchmarks in the segment for performance and efficiency. It is rated A for rolling resistance and is the most durable and fuel-efficient truck tire the company has ever produced. It is also A-rated for road noise, emitting just 70 dB during industry standard testing procedures.
The innovative “free-rolling” tread pattern was developed specifically for trailer axles and integrates a compact central rib that maximizes road holding, reduces noise and ensures efficient operation.
The large and stable contact area of the tire optimizes pressure distribution to improve performance and reduce consumption and wear. A new blend of polymers and fillers contributes to low rolling resistance, while ensuring constant levels of wet grip. The advanced tread compound manages temperature fluctuations during extended use to preserve performance and increase durability.
The robust tire carcass facilitates the remanufacturing process while reducing whole life cycle costs, a key requirement for many European long-haul transport customers.
