Is a new ‘survival manual’ coming? Actors Devon Werkheiser and Lindsey Shaw, stars of the series Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide, made an enigmatic announcement on their social networks.
In 2004, Nickelodeon premiered a series known in Latin America as Ned’s School Survival Manual, whose plot narrates the adventures of Ned Bigby (Devon Werkheiser), ‘Cookie’ (Daniel Curtis Lee) and ‘Moze’ (Lindsey Shaw) in a high school in the United States.
As was the case with productions such as Drake & Josh (2004) and iCarly (2007), the Ned series became one of the favorites of millennials; However, after three seasons it came to an end and has not received sequels or spin offs.
What happened to the actors in ‘Ned’s Manual’?
On January 29, Devon Werkheiser published an Instagram story in which he appears with Lindsey Shaw, an actress who played his love interest in Ned’s Manual, with the caption: “Little Ned coming soon in 2024.”
That publication caused fans of the series to speculate on social networks about a romantic relationship between the actors or the supposed arrival of a baby, but the personalities have not confirmed anything about it.
During the filming of Ned’s Handbook, Devon and Lindser developed a romantic relationship that lasted until 2007. Although some fans speculate that they could date again, on different occasions the actors have revealed that they are just friends.
Likewise, there are fans who comment that it could be the announcement of a new project related to Ned’s Manual.
This is because, through her social networks, actress Lindsey Shaw revealed that she was filming a scene with Werkheiser, but did not give details about the production.
Will there be a new series of ‘Ned’s Manual’?
Since the arrival of Paramount+, some Nickelodeon series have come back to life with new seasons or movies; however, so far this does not appear to be the case for Ned’s Handbook.
In early 2023, the three main actors of Ned’s Manual started a podcast in which they talk about anecdotes from the recordings, personal stories and curious facts. In one of the chapters they commented that it was proposed to make a sequel, but the studio behind the rights to the Nick series refused.
“We don’t have the rights to Ned, so we made a proposal to the studio that has the rights, but for now they’re just moving on from it,” Devon Werkheiser commented on his podcast.
Likewise, after the premiere of the sequel to Zoey 101 (2005) last year, the actors of Ned’s Manual showed their discontent on social networks.
