Chelsea and Aston Villa were 0-0 this Friday (26), in a match valid for the fourth round of the FA Cup, at the Stanford Bridge stadium. With this result, the teams will have to face each other again in the competition, in the so-called “replay”, with a date to be defined.

HOW WAS THE MATCH?

Chelsea tried to assert their control of the field and had greater control of ball possession during the duel (58% to 42%). However, Aston Villa was the team that took the most shots in the game, with most shots coming from outside the box.

Still, Unai Emery’s team was the closest to leaving the field with the classification: in the 14th minute of the first stage, Moussa Diaby finished from outside the area; the ball deflected off Douglas Luiz and deceived Chelsea goalkeeper Petrovic. The referee, however, found it offside and disallowed the Brazilian midfielder’s goal.

WHAT’S NEXT?

Chelsea returns to the field on Wednesday (31), at 5:15 pm (Brasília time), away from home, where they face Liverpool in the Premier League. Aston Villa, in turn, hosts Newcastle, on Tuesday (30), also at 5:15 pm (Brasília time), in the same English Championship.
