Australian Police find remains in search for bodies of missing gay couple

Police in New South Wales, Australia have made a shocking discovery in the case of a missing gay couple, Jesse Baird and Luke Davies, who were allegedly murdered by NSW Police Constable Beaumont Lamarre-Condon. The bodies of the two men were located in a second crime scene, separate from previous search efforts, at a property in Bungonia. The accused officer provided information that led to the discovery of the bodies.

New South Wales Police Commissioner Karen Webb expressed confidence in the identification of the bodies and offered condolences to the families, friends, and the LGBTQI+ community. The bodies were found in surf bags covered in debris, and their condition will be determined after further examination.

Baird and Davies were last seen at Baird’s home in Sydney’s Paddington neighborhood on February 19, and concerns for their safety arose after their bloodied belongings were found in a rubbish bin in Cronulla, 30 kilometers away. Lamarre-Condon, 28, remains in custody after being charged with the murders.

Detective Superintendent Danny Doherty stated that crime scene detectives are currently investigating the scene in Bungonia. This tragic case has gripped the local community and raised important questions about the safety of marginalized populations. Further updates will be provided as the investigation continues.
