Austria, 15 months for corruption to former far-right leader Strache

Heinz-Christian Strache, the former leader of the Austrian ultra-right Fpoe, was sentenced to fifteen months for corruption by a court in Vienna. As vice-chancellor of Sebastian Kurz’s first government, Strache would have pushed to change a law and allow Walter Grubmueller, a friend of his as well as a generous financier of the Fpoe, to collect public funds for his hospital.
