The Alejandro Villanueva stadium, the home of Alianza Lima, is one of the most iconic stages in the history of Peruvian soccer. However, for a few years now, many close fans have considered that it is time for a remodeling to make it on par with the best in the world.

Given this, architect Harun Ananias decided to share with his followers on social networks a design of what the La Victoria site would look like, after undergoing a radical change both inside and outside.

The Matute stadium, as it is popularly known, would have a significant improvement in its finishes and would have a modern roof. Furthermore, it would experience a considerable increase in its capacity, reaching 60 thousand spectators.

Many fans ended up delighted with the image created by the professional, so much so that they asked him several questions about the surroundings. “Can we change all those old gates that are on the perimeter of the Alianza Lima esplanade?” asked one of them in X.

“You can, but the combination of the building with a new and stylized ring, inserted into the old urban aesthetic of La Victoria, I think also makes an interesting contrast”Ananias replied.

In this way, Alianza Lima fans became excited again about a possible remodeling of the Matute stadium. At the moment, the only certainty is that the blue and white board plans to improve the infrastructure in the future, but not to make an expansion as in the design.

How much capacity does the Alianza Lima stadium have?

Currently, the Alianza Lima stadium has a capacity of approximately 34,000 spectators.
