Bambie Thug accused of Satanism

On Tuesday evening, the first semi-final of the “Eurovision Song Contest” was held in Malmö Arena.

Ten countries progressed to the final next Saturday, and among them is Ireland’s contribution, Bambie Thug (31).

Yesterday, the non-binary artist who uses the pronoun they/them performed the song “Doomsday Blues”.

Now the audience is divided, and several fans compare the performance to a “satanic ritual”.

The performance begins with the performer surrounded by a ring of candles, where they perform what may resemble a ritual. Dancer Matt Williams then comes on stage wearing demonic makeup and false teeth.

On X, there are several people who react to whether the number has anything to do with the singing competition at all.

– This is literally demonic. And our national broadcaster RTÉ openly supports witchcraft. Disgusting, writes an X user.

– Bambie Thug performs a song inspired by a satanic ritual. “Doomsday Blues” is a song about witches, spells and satanic sacrifices, writes another.

– This is the first time that Ireland has qualified for the final with the help of a satanic ritual. Satan is probably satisfied, says a third.

TV 2 makes contact with Håkon Røssum in Eurovision Norway, who is really blown away by “Doomsday Blues”.

– This is performing arts at its best, where it is about overcoming one’s inner demons, he says and continues:

– I think Bambie Thug delivered an absolutely fantastic performance and will not be surprised if Ireland can shock with a place at the top this year, after being out of the final for six years. Talk about an upgrade!
