Central Bank says the launch is a tribute to the Legislative Power. The first Brazilian Constitution is dated March 25, 1824, during the Brazilian Empire. The Charter implemented bicameralism – a composition formed by the Chamber of Deputies and the Federal Senate.

The coin was presented in a ceremony in the Chamber’s Noble Hall. According to the House, the launch is part of the actions that have been developed since 2017 on the 200th anniversary of the first Constitution.

After the announcement, the official sales website was offline.
