Bola.net – Sheffield United will certainly not play in the Premier League for the 2024/2025 season. The Blades officially became the first team to be relegated from the highest caste of English football.
This certainty was obtained after Sheffield United played the match in Week 35 of the 2023/2024 EPL. They challenged Newcastle at St James Park.
In this match, Sheffield United took the lead through Anel Ahmedhodzic’s quick goal. However, The Magpies got up and beat The Blades with a score of 5-1.

Their gap with Nottingham Forest in 17th place was 10 points. Meanwhile, the Premier League only has three weeks left.

There are four teams competing to survive relegation. There are Everton, Nottingham Forest, Luton Town and Burnley.
Everton and Forest themselves are in a risky position, because they are still waiting for the results of their appeal against the points deduction sanction given by the Premier League due to violations of the Profit and Sustainability Rules (PFR).
