The match will be played at Åråsen Stadium on Sunday 12 May at 19.15, and will be shown on TV 2 Sport 1 and TV 2 Play. It’s heading towards full away territory again, and available tickets can be found here.

A party night at the Stadium has been completed, and three new points have been added to the collection. Blomberg’s acrobatics, Heggebø’s unbeatable aerial strength and Castro’s elegant scissor kick ensured a great victory against Rosenborg, and we are now in second place in the table after seven games played. The next challenge that awaits is Lillestrøm. The stage is set for a wonderful football match when we take on Åråsen’s beautiful grass mat on Sunday evening.

After being temporarily coached by former Brann player Eirik Bakke last season, Lillestrøm brought in Swedish Andreas Georgson as the new head coach before the season. Lillestrøm have had several solid seasons in the Eliteserien after they moved up again from the OBOS league in 2020, but have started weaker this season. They are currently in twelfth place, and have only taken one point at home.

Ulrik Mathisen has previously played for Lillestrøm, and thus knows this weekend’s opponent well. He was central to last year’s victory, when he first secured a penalty, before scoring our second goal just after the break. Now he can once again make life miserable for his former employer.

If we manage to continue in the good track we found up until against Rosenborg, we should have good opportunities to collect another victory. We have done well in this away fixture in recent years, with a total of four wins in the last five. In front of a boiling away team, we hope to continue in the winning streak on Sunday, and bring new important points home to Bergen!
