Dina Skender’s players were defeated in the first game, played in Čitluk, with a score of 1:3, and after that outcome, the Širokobrijejan strategist decided not to take many players to Banja Luka.
Daniel Lukić, Mihael Kuprešak, Siril Kpan, Luka Mamić, Marijan Ćavar, Božo Prusina, Marko Capan, Luka Marin, Ilija Mašić and Josip Bender were not on his passenger list.
“Given the circumstances and the condensed schedule in the last period, during which we played four games in 13 days, minor injuries and viruses, and the high energy consumption of players who play continuously, we were forced to leave some players at home in Herzegovina. This is an opportunity for players who have played less to assert themselves and try to catch up. We are not going with a white flag, we will not surrender lightly, however we are aware of the deficit from the first game. I know these guys will do their best“, said the Croatian strategist.
