Miguel Ángel Borja is having an unbeatable start to the year with River Plate and confirmed this in the duel against Vélez Sarsfield, in which the Colombian scored a hat trick for his team’s 5-0 victory.
The Colombian started the game as a starter and scored a double in the first half to be applauded by the River fans at the Monumental.
His first goal came after a side cross from Nacho Fernández, after playing short on a corner kick. The ball went to the far post and the Colombian scorer appeared to finish off with a header in the 19th minute.
Later, when the clock showed 30 minutes, Borja repeated the dose and once again headed the ball after a cross from Barco so that it went into the back of the net.
Already in the second half and at minute 55 of the match, Miguel Ángel took advantage of a bad rejection from Vélez’s defensive zone to push the ball again into the goal defended by the visiting team and thus score the hat trick and seal the final 5-0. The other two goals were the work of Facundo Colidio.
At the beginning of the season, Miguel Ángel Borja has played three games with River Plate, with four goals in his tally. In addition, Borja added 28 celebrations in 64 games with the Argentine club.
