Brigadier General Dwi Irianto Officially Serves as Regional Police Chief for Southeast Sulawesi

National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo officially appointed Brigadier General Dwi Irianto as the new Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police Chief.

Karo Penmas Polri Brigadier General Trunoyudo said the inauguration was led directly by the Chief of Police and attended by all Acting Police Headquarters in the Banquet Room of the Rupatama Building of Police Headquarters, on Monday (29/4) yesterday.

“The Chief of Police directly led the handover of the position of Regional Police Chief for Southeast Sulawesi (Sultra),” he told reporters, Tuesday (30/4).

Through this inauguration, Dwi Irianto officially left his previous position as Deputy Chief of Regional Police for Southeast Sulawesi. He was appointed by Listyo to replace Inspector General Teguh Priswanto, who was transferred in order to enter retirement.

With his new position as North Sulawesi Regional Police Chief, Dwi will also later receive a promotion one level higher to become a two-star general or Inspector General.

In his speech, Listyo asked Dwi to carry out the mandate and position he was given as best as possible. He also expressed his gratitude for all the service that Teguh had provided until the end of his term of service.

“Congratulations to Brigadier General Dwi Irianto, hopefully he will be entrusted with the task of becoming Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police Chief. To Inspector General Teguh Pristiwanto, thank you for your service to the National Police institution so far, and welcome to your retirement period,” he said.
