The British actor Bernard Hill, known for his roles in ‘Titanic’ and ‘The Lord of the Rings’, has died at the age of 79, his agent confirmed to the BBC this Sunday.
Hill played ‘Titanic’ captain Edward Smith in James Cameron’s film and King Théoden in the trilogy of adaptations directed by Peter Jackson.
The actor had more than 40 years behind him on the small and big screen with participation in such significant titles as ‘Yo, Claudio’ or the drama ‘Boys from the Blackstuff’ about the Thatcher era.
