After the departure of Saudi coach Abdulhakim Al-Tuvaidri, the club from “Grbavica” appointed a new first team strategist on Monday.
It is in question Bruno Akrapovic, who was born on September 26, 1967 in Zenica. In his playing career, he played for Čelik, Wolfsburg and Mainz, among others.
He started his rich coaching career in Germany, and then independently managed Val, Solin, Neretvanac, Europa, Shkendija, Split, Lokomotiva Plovdiv, CSKA Sofia, Al-Vehda and Akritas.
With Lokomotiv, he won two Cups and the Bulgarian Supercup, with Shkendija he was the champion of North Macedonia, and with Europe he lifted the Gibraltar Supercup trophy.
“Akrapović is the owner of a UEFA Pro license, and he will be officially presented in the coming days when preparations with the team for the next part of the season will begin. We wish Bruna Akrapović a warm welcome and good luck in achieving our common goals. We are Željini, Željo is ours”it was announced from the Sarajevo club.
Željo finished the first part of the season in the Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina in 10th place with the same number of points (19) as Igman, which is in the relegation zone.
