Honorary award
This year’s Honorary Award went to the music group Ole Ivars. They admit to Dagbladet that it came as a surprise.
– It feels fantastic. Quite simply indescribable, we are trying to find words, but it is difficult. It’s just something that has happened to others who have done a lot for Norwegian music. And we have been very happy on their behalf, but the fact that we were going to get it was a lot of fun.
They will play their very last concert with KORK in Oslo Spektrum on Saturday 19 October – then it’s all over for the group.

– It’s just sick. So symbolic for me, and I have so much to say, says a tearful Dahl, after she received the award.
– I have worked really hard for many years now, and it just fails at one point or another. I grew up without TikTok and comment fields and have had friends who have supported me and said: “Carina, of course you’re going on stage”.
Furthermore, Dahl says that she hopes that she can inspire others to follow their dreams, and not let adversity or ugly comments ruin what you really want to do.
– I have faced a lot of headwinds over the years, but I just thought that I would meet everyone with a smile. I just hope that I can inspire others, because it’s a tough world out there.
