Carlos Alcaraz Garfia is the twenty-year-old tennis player, Carlos Jonas Alcaraz is the 21-year-old Argentine midfielder that Juventus is bringing to Turin in these last hours of the market. Two different people, two different continents, a different role and a different sport. Another way to tell them apart? The footballer is nicknamed Charly.
Alcaraz comes from Southampton, a team that brought him to Europe in 2022 after admiring him at Racing in Argentina. It hasn’t always been a rosy period on British soil, given last season’s relegation, but his performances have continued to attract big teams.
