The reporter learned on the 5th that according to incomplete statistics, in the six-year construction, Sany Group and China Railway Construction Heavy Industry and other Changsha enterprises have jointly assisted and contributed to the smooth completion of the China-Laos Railway.

As early as December 2015, at the foundation stone laying ceremony of the China-Laos Railway, SANY’s 8 excavators and 10 mixer trucks represented the start-up equipment that entered the site in advance and were inspected on site. During the 6-year construction period, nearly 300 SANY equipment went to this iconic China-Laos friendship project. They opened up the mountains and built bridges when they met water. They fully participated in the construction of bridges, tunnels, and supporting facilities. It is a project construction. One of the main construction machinery brands. Wu Minghua, the assistance manager of Sany Southeast Asia Region, Laos, introduced that Sany equipment can be seen everywhere along the construction line of the project, and “more than 80% of the concrete equipment is Sany brand”.

The 1,652-meter-long Bangnahan Mekong River Bridge is the “highest pier and largest span” large bridge on the entire line. The mountains along the line are steep, with partial slopes of up to 60°. The construction is extremely difficult and requires a lot of pile foundation and concrete pouring. Due to the high altitude and small working area, the project builder decided to use Sany concrete equipment to undertake the concrete pouring operation. During the construction period of several years, the “World Pump King” performed well, worked uninterruptedly for a long time, continuously overcome difficulties, and completed almost all key projects.

In September of this year, the opening of the China-Laos Railway is imminent, and the first batch of 10 Sany reach stackers are also sent to 8 freight yards along the line to be responsible for the shipment of containers on the entire railway line.

In addition to participating in the construction of the project, the track switch also comes from Hunan. The total length of the China-Laos railway line from Kunming South to Vientiane Station is 1,035 kilometers, of which 152 sets of turnouts from Luang Prabang to Vientiane are all supplied by Railway Construction Heavy Industry Turnout Branch. Since receiving the supply task, China Railway Construction Heavy Industry Turnout Branch has meticulously planned, and the design, production, quality, after-sales and other business departments have worked together. On the evening of February 22, 2020, the first batch of 9 sets of turnouts of the China-Laos Railway departed from Zhuzhou, Hunan, to Laos. The transportation time is half a month. On March 5, 2020, the first batch of turnouts arrived at the Project Department of China Railway Second Bureau in Vientiane Province.

The smooth opening of the China-Laos Railway marks the first successful export of the 200km/h series products of the Railway Construction Heavy Industry Turnout Branch to overseas. Since 2010, China Railway Construction Heavy Industry Turnout Branch has supplied rail-type turnouts and frogs to the United States, Sierra Leone, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Laos, Nigeria, Kenya, Pakistan and other countries.
