Chelsea got a taste of their own medicine, Spurs player escaped with a blow

On Thursday evening, it was Chelsea who went from despair to joy ten and eleven minutes into extra time respectively against United.

On Sunday, however, it was Chelsea who had to endure the 2-1 lead against Sheffield United disappearing three minutes into extra time. Thus, it was another disappointing point loss for the blues.

Tottenham won their match against Nottingham Forest 3-1, but not without a highly debated decision. Just before half-time, at 1-1, James Maddison punched a Forest defender in the stomach, but even with VAR available, he got away with talking. With 11 against 11, the home team instead decided the match after the break.

Tottenham’s win means United are 11 points behind both Spurs and Aston Villa. United and Spurs have seven games left to play this season, while Villa have six.

Unfortunately, due to a login error at Viaplay, united.no does not have video highlights from these matches.

Sunday’s Premier League results:

* Sheffield United 2-2 Chelsea

* Tottenham 3-1 Nottingham Forest

* Man. United 2-2 Liverpool
