China, students closed at school in quarantine for a teacher who tested positive for covid

BEIJING – They waited until late at night, outside the school, eager to know what would happen to their children, literally “trapped” by the dozen inside an institution here in Beijing after one of the teachers tested positive for Covid. Only shortly after midnight, with the school put in lockdown in the meantime, the principal came out to “reassure” the parents by telling them that some of the boys – between 7 and 12 years old – had to be immediately quarantined.
