Cienciano vs Sport Boys: the ‘imperial’ team beat the ‘chalaco’ team 3-2 on Sunday, February 18, for the fourth day of the Liga 1 2024 Apertura Tournament. The clash took place at the Inca Garcilaso stadium facilities of the Vega of Cusco.
Attacker Carlos Garcés saved ‘Papá’ from defeat after scoring a double. The Ecuadorian scored the second and third goals at 74 and 84 minutes, respectively. It should be noted that the ‘pink’ team started winning thanks to a goal from Cristian Techera, who also appeared in the 89th.
Cienciano will face Los Chankas next Monday, February 26 in the city of Andahuaylas for date 5 of the Apertura. For its part, Sport Boys will face Cusco FC on Saturday the 24th at the Miguel Grau stadium in Callao.
