Rider Harold Tejada of the Astana Qazaqstan Team took victory in the second stage of the Tour Colombia. He showed his champion class and in a reduced sprint he was the fastest in the fraction finished in Santa Rosa de Viterbo in the department of Boyacá.

The fraction began at 10 in the morning local time under a clear sky with few clouds, a favorable day for cycling in the city of Paipa next to Lake Sochagota, with a large influx of public who were waiting to see their idols take the departure, Fernando Gaviria wore the shirt as the leader of the test under his new mustache

The escape of the day took place on the way to Tunja, six riders took to their heels and went in search of their options. They were: Javier Jamaica (Team Medellín), Efrén Santos (Canela – Java), Bernardo Suaza (Petrolike – PTL), Mounir El Azhari (Sidi Ali – Unlock Team), Daniel Méndez (Nu Colombia) and Esteban Villarreal (Ecuador National Team) , they took about 3 minutes.

About halfway through the competition, the escape was neutralized, however the peace did not last long, because on the way to the top of the moral, about twenty cyclists went on an adventure again, within that group several important names such as Óscar Sevilla , Andrea Piccolo, Andrés Pinzón, Rodrigo Contreras, Juan Diego Alba, Byron Guama, Harold Tejada and Javier Jamaica along with another couple of survivors of the initial escape.

With 20 km left at the end of the city of Duitama, 2 minutes 30 was the difference between the escapees and the main group. Behind them the only team that was setting the pace was Movistar, the others seemed satisfied with the strengths they had in the forehead. Nervousness increased at the front and everyone began to look for their individual options.

Sevilla gained 3 seconds in the sprint with 11 km to go and added three valuable seconds that brought him closer to the top of the individual general classification. Passing through Duitama, Sevilla and Chalapud went alone, they gave their all in the long climb to the top of Malterías, however, Tejada, Chalapud, Reyes, Piccolo and Contreras reached them before reaching the last kilometer.

Already in the reduced sprint, Harold Tejada of Astana showed his stripes and won decisively, and he also dressed as the new leader of the race. The brave Andrea Piccolo from EF Education crossed the finish line in second place and third place was taken by the veteran of a thousand battles, Óscar Sevilla from Team Medellín, who seems stainless and continues at a high level, being second in the general classification.
