Tottenham Hotspur able to beat Crystal Palace. Having fallen behind, The Lilywhites came back to win 3-1.
Tottenham vs Crystal Palace in the Premier League continues at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Saturday (2/3/2024). The score was still 0-0 in this match until halftime.
After the break, the visiting team surprised us by scoring first through Eberechi Eze’s free kick in the 59th minute. Tottenham were then able to equalize through Timo Werner in the 77th minute.

Tottenham came back three minutes later thanks to Cristian Romero’s goal in the 80th minute. Son Heung-min closed Spurs’ victory with a goal in the 88th minute.
This victory means Tottenham are now in fifth place with 50 points, two points behind Aston Villa in the top four. Meanwhile, Palace is ranked 14th with 28 points.
The Course of the Match
The hosts appeared dominant at the start of the match. Palace preferred to wait to reduce Tottenham. Palace’s style of play made it difficult for Tottenham to shoot.
The Lilywhites made the first threat through a counter-attack after Palace received a free kick. Timo Werner escapes alone.
He tried to get past Sam Johnstone and then opened fire. Johnstone was still able to stretch his body to block Werner’s shot.

Palace was actually able to take the lead in the 59th minute. Eberechi Eze took a measured free kick from the edge of the penalty box which nestled into the left corner of the Tottenham goal.
Left behind, Tottenham tried to immediately respond to Timo Werner’s shot. His shot was still blocked by Johnstone.
Tottenham missed another opportunity a few minutes later. Brennan Johnson’s shot in front of goal still went up.
Tottenham’s efforts to equalize were successful in the 77th minute. Johnson was able to get past two Palace players when stabbing on the right side.
It then released a bait that found Werner. Uncontrollable, Werner calmly grabbed the ball into a goal.
Three minutes later, Tottenham was able to take the lead. James Maddison’s pass was headed by Cristian Romero who came forward to help the attack. Johnstone couldn’t stop his header.
Tottenham can add one more goal through Son’s action. Son was free to run alone from the middle of the field.
He was able to trick Johnstone into scoring a goal in the 88th minute. Score 3-1 in favor of Tottenham. This position lasts until the match is finished.
