cook causes fire in restaurant and burns diners

At least three people were injured after a restaurant chef in Brazil caused a major fire while preparing an exclusive dish. The events occurred last Monday night, April 29, when diners were tasting their food in a popular steakhouse located in the Jóquei Clube neighborhood of Campos dos Goytacazes, Rio de Janeiro.

The cook was attempting to make a novel dish that required lighting a stove with a gallon of 70% alcohol. However, a flare-up occurred when the fire was lit, spreading among employees and diners at the restaurant bar. Emergency services were called to the scene, and paramedics and firefighters helped three injured individuals who were taken to local hospitals for medical attention.

The injured victims have been identified as Gabriel Tavares, 20; Cleiton Rodrigues, 25; and Marcos Pereira, 25. They are currently receiving treatment at the Ferreira Machado Hospital in Campos, but their current health status is undisclosed. Authorities are expected to provide further updates on their conditions in the coming days.

Security cameras recorded the events, showing the victims suffering burns on various parts of their bodies. The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of proper safety measures in restaurant kitchens to prevent such accidents from occurring.
