Corinthians issued a statement on Thursday night (29), in which it claims to have been surprised by the news that midfielder Matías Rojas would be leaving the club.
The information that the Paraguayan would no longer play for the club was announced by CNN Brasil presenter, Benjamin Back.
The black and white board stated that it was in contact with the athlete’s representatives to understand his motivations. Still in the text, it was revealed that the Paraguayan did not even attend the last activities at CT Joaquim Grava, in São Paulo.
“The board of directors of Sport Club Corinthians Paulista was surprised by the news that athlete Matías Rojas did not attend training this Thursday (29). Club representatives are in contact with the player’s staff to understand the reasons that led him to take such action and study the measures”, wrote the club.
