The Municipal Council of La Paz Centro held a rare session this afternoon to dismiss Mayor Armando Girón, who was arrested earlier within the day for alleged environmental contamination. Girón had ordered the burning of champagne and furnishings from casual distributors on the seaside of the Costa del Sol.
