China recorded another 5,280 new cases of Covid-19 on Monday, more than doubling the 2,343 infections on Sunday: the National Health Commission announced in its daily updates, from which it also emerges that the data updates the maximum of the last two years, since the Wuhan crisis.

The transport case
Chinese railway authorities have changed the policy on refunds for canceled trips, in the context of the Asian country’s efforts to curb the recent resurgence of Covid-19. Tickets purchased before March 15 can be fully refunded if journeys are canceled by passengers, according to the China State Railway Group. The refund policy has been applied to train tickets purchased through channels including train stations and the official online booking platform 12306.cn. The move is aimed at reducing the risk of infection while traveling, as the Asian country steps up efforts to curb the recent reappearance of the virus.
