In Russia in the last 24 hours, 780 deaths caused by Covid-19 have been ascertained, the maximum in a single day since the beginning of the epidemic: the Tass reports citing the anticoronavirus operations center. According to official data, 24,702 new cases of Covid were recorded in Russia over the last day. The pandemic situation is stabilizing in Moscow, where 4,991 new infections have been confirmed in the last 24 hours.
There are 732 new coronavirus cases registered in Israel in the last 24 hours, the highest number recorded in the new wave of infections and the highest number of positives since March. This was announced by the Israeli Ministry of Health, explaining that 47 people are in serious condition. The Jerusalem Post points out that about 53 percent of the new cases were vaccinated or patients who had been infected and recovered from Covid-19. The Delta variant, first identified in India and now responsible for 90 percent of new cases in Israel, is under fire.

The Kuwaiti government has decided to close all children’s activities, including summer clubs, from July 25 until further notice, as a precautionary measure to combat the spread of the coronavirus. After a briefing by the health minister, the government also ordered the defense ministry and the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation to put their hospitals at the service of the country’s health system, according to a government statement. Kuwait on Monday reported 1,770 Covid-19 infections and 19 deaths, bringing the total infections to 37,7364 and deaths to 2,136.
Still over 100 deaths the daily toll of deaths related to Covid in Tunisia. According to data released yesterday by the Ministry of Health, on 11 July 4310 new cases were recorded out of 12,335 tests performed – with a positive rate of 34.94% – and 106 deaths were reported. The governors of the urban macro-area of Greater Tunis, which has about 2.6 million inhabitants, have extended the special preventive measures, including the general lockdown on weekends, until 31 July. Particularly critical situations continue to occur in public hospitals where difficulties are encountered at all levels due to the high number of hospitalized patients. Tunisia has recorded 501,923 infections and 16,494 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic. The national vaccination campaign, which began on March 13, is proceeding slowly: so far just over two million people have received a dose and 631,083 also the second, out of about 12 million inhabitants. Today the President of the Republic, Kais Saied, was vaccinated with the first dose in his municipality of residence, Mhnila.
