President Daniel Noboa will fulfill an official agenda in three European countries. The trip is scheduled from May 10 to 21, in accordance with Executive Decree 258.

During that time, the president will visit the countries of Italy, Spain, and France. The delegation that will accompany Noboa is made up of Lieutenant Colonel Edwin Godoy, head of Security; Cynthia Gellibert, Undersecretary General of Office; Gicela Andrade, Undersecretary of Protocol and Ceremonial; and Juan Kieniewicz, director of Logistics in Territory.

The Presidency has not shared details of the activities that the head of state will carry out on his tour of Europe.

The trip will occur at a time when the Government is facing a crisis due to the controversy that has arisen in Olón (Santa Elena), where the ECHO urban development project is intended to be built, in which the company Vinazin SA is involved, of which the first lady is a shareholder, Lavinia Valbonesi.

The situation has generated various reactions, as environmental organizations and residents of the commune denounced this week that workers cut down vegetation that is part of the mangrove that would be within a protected area. (YO)
