Deadline to regularize, transfer or issue a voter registration card ends this Wednesday – Politics – CartaCapital

Voters have until this Wednesday, May 8th, to regularize their electoral situation, request a transfer of electoral domicile or issue a new voter registration card. After this date, the registration system will be closed until the end of the electoral process.

Anyone who is not up to date with the Electoral Court will not be able to vote in the October municipal elections. There are fines and sanctions for those found to be in an irregular situation.

To issue a title, the voter must go to an electoral registry, armed with an official document with photo (except driver’s license) and proof of residence issued in the last three months. Men over 18 must present proof of military discharge.

Going to the location is necessary to register biometrics. Voters who do not yet have fingerprint identification also need to go to the Electoral Court headquarters to regularize the situation.

For those who already have biometric identification in the TSE system, it is possible to resolve electoral issues through the self-service service or in site do TSE.

Until May 8, it is possible to resolve pending issues such as fines resulting from absences from previous elections or reactivation of titles canceled for not voting in three consecutive elections.

The documents to be presented in each of the other regularization cases may be consulted here.

Elections

This year, due to the local nature of the elections, there is no possibility of voting in transit. The election is scheduled for October 6th, with a possible second round on October 27th.

Voters will vote for the positions of mayor, deputy mayor and councilor.
