Juan Córdoba missed a penalty and 10-man Deportivo Cali lost 1-0 to Patriotas Boyacá at the Deportivo Cali stadium this Sunday thanks to a decisive goal from Andrés Alarcón.
Alarcón scored the only goal of the game eight minutes before the break, directing the ball into the net with a header after a corner kick that slipped into the left corner.
Córdoba will regret having failed from the penalty spot in favor of Cali. Juan Valencia saved his shot with his right foot when his team trailed 1-0 in the seventh minute of added time before the break.
Gian Cabezas showed a direct red card to Deportivo Cali at 22 minutes.
