Sport: The London side led twice in the Premier League game, but Burnley hit back on both occasions despite being reduced to ten men at 0-1 at half-time.
As so many times before this season, Chelsea messed up the win. The hard-working club are only eleventh in the Premier League table with ten games left to play.
– The wardrobe is really down, Palmer admits to Sky Sports after Saturday’s disappointing 2-2 draw.
– When they were reduced to ten men, we led 1-0, and we just got too comfortable. It’s the same story, we destroy ourselves every week. It has to be better from us as players.
He continues:
– We had many chances, but then we defended sloppily. It is very disappointing. Personally, scoring two goals is nice, but they count for nothing when you don’t get the three points. We must be more “alive” and not switch off like we did today. It is bad and it must not happen. Especially when they receive an expulsion.
Chelsea will have the chance to reverse the trend in another home game on Thursday. Then Manchester United will come to visit.
