Draghi’s thrust on LGBTQ rights: “The EU is for tolerance”. Salvini: I’m with Budapest

BRUSSELS – At a certain point during the dinner, Mario Draghi addresses Viktor Orban directly. He cites article two of the European Treaty, which is both an exaltation of tolerance and respect for minorities, after centuries of oppression in the Old Continent. “Look at that text, which Hungary has also signed – he says to the Hungarian premier – is precisely what appoints the Commission as guardian of the Treaty itself”.
