Manchester United Burnley was held to a 1-1 draw in the follow-up match Premier League 2023/2024, Saturday (27/4) evening.
In this match, MU’s only goal was scored by Antony. Meanwhile, Burnley’s reply was scored through Zeki Amdouni’s penalty.
In the 80th minute Manchester United finally managed to break the deadlock after taking a 1-0 lead through Antony’s goal.

The goal started from a pass error in Burnley’s defense which resulted in Antony stealing the ball.
Anthony then penetrated into the Burnley penalty box and fired a low shot which outwitted the opposing goalkeeper.
In the 86th minute the referee checked VAR after goalkeeper Andre Onana committed a violation by hitting Burnley player Zeki Amdouni in the face.
Referee John Brooks decided a penalty was awarded to Burnley. Zeki Amdouni immediately took over the penalty and converted it into a goal.
Then MU tried to respond by playing more aggressively. However, several opportunities failed to be converted into goals.
This result keeps Manchester United in sixth place in the Premier League standings with 54 points from the 34 matches played.
Meanwhile, this draw means Burnley remains in 19th position or in the Premier League relegation zone with 24 points from 35 matches played.
