Eight people have died after a tanker capsized near the coast of Japan

On Wednesday morning (Tuesday evening in Italy) a tanker flying the South Korean flag it overturned off the southwest coast of Japan: eight of the eleven crew members on board died, one was found in critical condition and two are still missing. The ship, which was called Keoyoung Sun, was carrying 980 tons of acrylic acid, a chemical compound at the base of many products including some types of paint, which however does not appear to have leaked. She was already anchored in the area due to bad weather and strong winds and had asked for help via radio due to the weather conditions.
