Rock singer Eikichi Yazawa (74) appeared as a guest on Fuji TV’s “MUSIC FAIR” broadcast on the 16th (6:00 p.m. on Saturdays) and talked about his “rock life.”
This day was the third installment of a special project commemorating the 60th anniversary and 3000th broadcast of the program, which started in 1964. With her powerful singing voice, she performed 5 songs including “Last Scene” and “A Day.”
Looking back on his rock career thus far, Yazawa said, “It’s all flown by in the blink of an eye,” and “When I was young, there were a lot of venues that I wouldn’t have rented to Eikichi Yazawa.” At the performance, fans were so enthusiastic that they broke chairs and caused fights. So he said, “There’s a difference between riding and making a mess. If this happens, Japanese rock will never become established. “Everyone, please lend me your strength,” he said from the stage.”
He said that he was calling out to his fans with the strong feeling that, “In the truest sense, we are going to make a living through rock music.” “Now that I think about it, it was interesting,” he said.
