Eintracht Braunschweig: Schiele breaks his silence! Plain text about his exit

He rose with Eintracht Braunschweig when that wasn’t even planned. He held class with the lions and finished the elevator ride. And yet Michael Schiele had to leave afterwards.

Although he had achieved all of his goals for the season, Eintracht Braunschweig threw Schiele out after relegation. Seven months later, the ex-coach who was chased is now breaking his silence.

Eintracht Braunschweig: Schiele talks about his retirement

All goals achieved, the derby won, a cup sensation celebrated – and still it was over. With the separation from Michael Schiele, BTSV caused a bang last summer. This decision didn’t exactly cause much enthusiasm, as Schiele was very popular in and around the club. And it didn’t open either. Successor Jens Härtel was fired after just eleven games and a catastrophic start.

Today Eintracht recovered under Daniel Scherning. But what does Schiele actually think about his surprising exit from Hamburger Strasse? Now he has spoken about the separation for the first time. Unsurprisingly, the decision left him quite disappointed.

“It’s disappointing”

“We said goodbye, forget about it, the club has decided differently,” Schiele chooses cool words without resentment in the Eintracht podcast “Gegenstraight” about his exit. But then he lets it be known that the separation bothers him. “It is disappointing that you are released after these successes – ten days after the season. But that’s how it is in football. I don’t always understand everything that happens in football either.”

It is now clear that Schiele still lacks an understanding of what the then Eintracht boss Peter Vollmann had decided. The team’s lack of development was listed as the reason for the separation at the time. Schiele naturally sees things differently. “There was a clear development,” he counters.

More news:

“It wasn’t nice at all back then,” said Schiele about the exemption. “Today I only see the positive sides of this time. I’ve made a lot of friends and I think I can still be seen in the city. I don’t want to miss these two years.”
