(Gudbrandsdølen Dagningen): It may sound like a joke, and a television stunt: Comedian and TV personality Else Kåss Furuseth (43) is getting married on 20 April in Oslo Spektrum – but she doesn’t yet know to whom.
But the 43-year-old is serious, even though several have stated that it is a bad idea.
– They point out that it is being done in the wrong order. Arrange the wedding first, and then find the man of your dreams. But that’s the point, she said in an interview with the weekly KK In february.
Tor came for dinner
On Saturday, TV viewers got to join in when Else invited one of the suitors in question to her home for dinner. It was Tor Jørgen Kramprud Arnesen who is from, lives and works in Øyer.
Many also know him as a celebrity chef from The Flying Culinary Circus, who has traveled the world to show and cook for international celebrities.
Chef Tor was contacted by a mutual acquaintance of Tor and Else, a television producer who has previously worked with them both.
– You must meet Else!
– I said yes. I had never met Else before, but I like her. And I thought it wouldn’t hurt to try, Tor tells GD.
Privately, he is single, but has an eleven-year-old son and a one-and-a-half-year-old daughter.
Else Kåss Furuseth invited Tor home to her own apartment for dinner. A TV team was also present as a fly on the wall.
Christmas celebration with Else
Although it is ten months until Christmas, Else had made a move, and decorated the whole apartment as if it were Christmas Eve. She explained this to the TV viewers on Saturday:
– On Christmas Eve I am always tired, sad, but also happy. I have all the emotions at once. It is the ultimate day to have a date if you want to get to know each other.
Chef Tor came in the door, and the first thing he did was install the star on the top of the Christmas tree.
Then there was dinner, prepared and served by Else. It was Christmas ribs, roasted in an oven bag, with side dishes. Else was clearly nervous about having a professional chef visit, but Tor boasted of the food and was pleasantly surprised:
– This was good! he said, to Else’s great satisfaction.
– What a lovely guy
Several of those who followed the TV broadcast from the sofa got the feeling that sparks flew along the way, with glances, humor and laughter.
– What a wonderful guy, exclaimed TV celebrity and former top alpinist Tom Stiansen, who was a guest in Else’s studio.
Among other things, Tor told about the dog Gunnar, which he had as a child.
– Every time I called for it, it was the neighbor who came.
The televised date only lasted a few minutes, but in reality the dinner lasted just over an hour.
– Else is warm and kind

– She is a very pleasant, warm and good person. Not much pain in that lady there.
When dinner was over and it was time to say goodbye, they both stood under the mistletoe, hesitating… There was a kiss in the air.
– Eh, that will be on the next date, Tor said with a twinkle in his eye and went out the door.
Else remained standing in the hall, and turned to the TV viewers with a smile:
– He said there will be a NEXT date!
– There were so many cameras present. It was not so easy to ask questions and get to know each other. There will be some special circumstances, you could say, Tor explains to GD afterwards.
Ready to meet Else again
Tor is ready to meet Else again, but also realizes that it is not certain that will happen.
– I would be happy to run, but I think the decision must lie with her. After all, she will meet quite a few men. In any case, it can be demanding for both of us due to busy jobs and the fact that we live far apart.
Chef Tor has had more and more to do after he moved home to Øyer. There he makes and distributes food boxes to private customers. He has established a small exclusive restaurant at home on the farm. He has special events there, and occasional visits from guest chefs.
In addition, he still works with Flying Culinary Circus, of which he is a co-owner. They have, among other things, started their own brand within grills of various kinds.
– It was fun, and a nice meeting with Else anyway, says Tor.
