Gregory Hofmann is plagued by bad luck. The EV Zug striker suffered a foot injury at the Karjala Cup last November and was out for eight weeks. This time Hofmann has to undergo surgery and will therefore miss the rest of the season.
Due to these injuries, Hofmann only played 28 games this season, scoring eight goals and providing twelve assists. This is the first time he has scored fewer than ten goals in one season since the 2013/14 season – when he still played for HC Davos.
