A Hamburgueria S/A is headquartered in the center of the capital of Rio de Janeiro due to a strategic decision: to be an option for workers during lunch hours. “The center is the boil of the Rio de Janeirowhere the main companies are”, says Rodrigo Reis, one of the venture’s partners. Founded in 2016, after an investment of R$ 1.2 million, the business invoices more than R$300 thousand per month.
The burger restaurant operates from Monday to Friday, in a lean manner — each employee works a single shift. “This reduces costs so that we can have a burger at a competitive price in the center”, says co-founder Roberto Montenegro.

In 2020, with the success of the business, the entrepreneurs opened the second store in the same region. Although 90% of the clientele is repeat, the company also attracts tourists who disembark at Porto Maravilha. The partners now intend to open new units.
