Envigado beat Orsomarso 1-0 as a visitor and advanced to the second phase of the Betplay Cup, after leaving the series 2-0.
Those led by Dayron Pérez arrived in Palmira with the hope of defending the 1-0 they had achieved at the South Sports Center to stay alive in the tournament that integrates the A and B teams.
The duel between Orsomarso and Envigado was delayed by 10 minutes due to bad weather conditions, a storm that fell on Palmira.
Finally the commitment started and the Paisa team came out ready to seek victory in order to confirm themselves in the next round of the tournament.
In the first minutes, the options were both sides. And although both teams presented very young rosters, those from Antioquia have a more mature group with more minutes as professionals and that was noticed on the field.
The Antioquia team insisted so much until in the 40th minute, and after taking a corner kick, Santiago Noreña took advantage of a rebound to send the ball to the back of the goal and thus go ahead on the scoreboard.
In the second half, and again with the rain as the protagonist, the oranges managed to maintain the difference until the end of the game, with a good performance by goalkeeper Andrés Tovar, who kept a clean sheet.
Now the Antioquia team awaits the definition of the series between Once Caldas and Bogotá FC, to know the rival of the next phase.
