According to VG’s information, Lillestrøm will pay NOK 4.5 million in pure transfer money to buy the midfielder. Kitolano initially had two years left on his contract in Molde.
The 26-year-old came to Molde ahead of last year’s season and scored six goals in 28 games. He has a past in Tromsø, Ull/Kisa and Odd.
It is currently unknown whether Lillestrøm’s new coach Andreas Georgson will play 4-3-3 or 3-4-3. It is the former system that has been used in the training matches so far, and there Kitolano will probably primarily be an inside runner.
If the Swede goes for a three-back line, which LSK has had useful success with since they were back in the Eliteserien in 2021, Kitolano’s natural place is in one of the three attacking roles in the 3-4-3.
