The president of the Legislative Assembly, Ernesto Castro, revealed plans for the 2024-2027 legislature in a recent announcement. As a result of a decrease in deputies from 84 to 60 seats, the Board of Directors will now consist of six deputies. Additionally, the number of permanent commissions in the Assembly will be reduced from 20 to 8 legislative bodies.
During a Face to Face interview, Deputy President Castro emphasized the importance of reducing the number of commissions to streamline the legislative process. He also mentioned that while other political parties will have representation on the Board of Directors, it will be done in a proportional manner.
