Ferrari pays homage to its history with a special livery on the occasion of the SF -24 in Miami, inspired by a design in which the Ferrari team abandoned red to use white and blue, a tribute to the American racing world.
The Maranello company will retouch the design with shades with two shades: “Azzurro La Plata” and “Azzurro Dino” which will be presented at the California Grand Prix which will take place on May 5th at the Miami International Autodrome, we will see Leclerc and Sainz in a version unusual.
A combination used by the Ferrari 158 already with John Surteens who competed in the last two GPs (USA and Mexico) of the 1964 World Championship; color combination also used by Lorenzo Bandini, Ludovico Scarfioti, Chris Amon and Niki Lauda, the last to use it was Clay Ragazzoni in 1974.
This combination can be seen in the first episode of the first series of Lupine 3 (the one in the green jacket): entitled “Trap on four wheels – Lupine against everyone”, made in 1971, in which the Gentleman thief, participating in a grand prix of Formula 1, driving a Ferrari and wearing a white and blue tracksuit, to face the Scorpion organization.
