Violence was present this Saturday in the match in which Fluminense tied 2-2 with Atlético Mineiro, on matchday 5 of Brasileirão 2024.
Before the match, fans of both teams got into a fight, which began when Mineiro fans tried to steal a Fluminense flag; a fact that provoked the violent response of the local cigar rollers.
“A fan was injured and received treatment while still inside the stadium and was transferred to the State Emergency and Emergency Hospital, formerly São Lucas, in Vitória. The fan, not yet identified, is undergoing tests, but he is already conscious after a first moment of concern on the part of the paramedics, still in the stadium,” Globoesporte reported.
