Filmmaker Adam Wingard is already preparing the third film in the Godzilla vs Kong saga. He is just waiting for confirmation from the Warner Bros. studio. An important factor that will weigh in the decision is the performance of the adventure at the box office. In Brazil, Godzilla vs Kong, The New Empire premieres on March 28th.

“When you make two films, it is interesting for the director to make the third to complete the trilogy. That’s everyone’s expectation. Let’s see, it will depend on how the film is received. I think there are a lot of cool ideas and how far we can go. I’m open to the possibilities and very excited,” said the director in an interview with the American website Deadline.

The 41-year-old American filmmaker has made a name for himself with horror and action films. Among them, You’re Next (2012), The Guest (2014), Blair Witch (2016), Godzilla vs. Kong (2021) and now Godzilla vs. Kong, The New Empire.
Godzilla vs Kong, The New Empire shows the two beasts joining forces to face a powerful enemy that threatens the existence of the Earth itself. The cast features Rebecca Hall as anthropologist Ilene Andres; Bryan Tyree Henry, one of the highlights of the previous films, returns as the character Bernie Hayes. Actress Kailee Hottle also returns in the role of girl Jia. A big absence is that of actress Millie Bobby Brown. She played the character Madison in two previous films.
