Finnish DNA chooses Juniper for the new data center infrastructure

Juniper Apstra selected by leading Finnish telecommunications company to simplify operations, reduce costs and improve user experience with intent-based networking

Juniper Networksa company specializing in native AI secure networks, e NEC Corporationa global provider of IT and network transformation services, announce that DNA, controlled by Telenor Group and among the main service providers for fixed and mobile communications in Finland, has implemented a fabric data center intent-based based on Juniper’s innovative automation software and high-performance hardware, and supported by NEC’s enormous experience in integrating advanced services.

DNA’s new data center infrastructure offers a unified platform for both B2B customers and internal IT services. Additionally, Juniper’s QFX Series switches were chosen for DNA’s Telco Cloud sites across Finland.

The goal of renewing DNA’s data center infrastructure is to offer new services while increasing operational efficiency and improving the user experience. By automating its data center network, DNA can eliminate human errors and optimize the work of its technical teams, allowing them to focus on building services and simplifying their delivery. QFX switches ensure low latency with high reliability and capacity, key requirements for providing services to mobile userswhich require high-performance networks.

L’intent-based networking del sistema Juniper Apstra

DNA selected the Juniper Apstra solution as the basis of its data center infrastructure. Intent-based networking software simplifies, automates and validates data center design, planning and operations from Day 0 to Day 2+. Apstra is a turnkey multi-vendor automation solution (agnostic in terms of both hardware and operating system) that provides DNA with a unified, real-time view of millions of data center elements, their dynamic performance, relationships and interdependencies. Apstra capabilities bring greater agility and reliability to the design, engineering and management of the DNA network. All network management tasks will be streamlined, which will allow IT teams to focus on other priorities. With Apstra, DNA can create a set of templates for its data center network based on its stated intent and required business outcomes. Apstra automatically converts these intentions into the network configurations and policies needed to achieve the outcomes DNA establishes. The network supported by Apstra is subjected to continuous closed-loop monitoring and self-validation processes to ensure compliance with the stated intent of the project. Using operational data generated in real time, Apstra is also able to provide much faster and more accurate analysis of the causes of network problems and mitigation data, allowing DNA to maximize data center and service uptime. Additionally, across the entire data center fabric, DNA has deployed Juniper QFX Series switches, which pair perfectly with Apstra and offer unmatched reliability, performance and scalability. NEC is DNA’s strategic partner, to which it provides pre-integration consultancy and validation services as well as support for Juniper solutions with its team of certified technicians.
