Jeremy Coleman is a firefighter. He has just finished his shift in Long Beach and arranges to go out for a drink with two of his colleagues and friends, Craig and Adam. Shortly afterwards Jeremy stops at a shop to buy something to eat. He doesn’t know it yet, but it’s the beginning of a nightmare. After him, in fact, Neil Hagan, leader of a local gang, and Boyd, one of his henchmen, enter the same place. In an instant the two take out the owner of the shop. Jeremy manages to escape and go to the police to report the incident. Hagan is arrested but during the identification phase, the killer reveals details about Jeremy’s life. It is necessary for the policeman to enter the witness protection program. His identity is thus erased and he is transferred to New Orleans. A few months later and a few days before testifying against Hagan, Jeremy, who in the meantime has established an emotional relationship with Talia, a federal marshal, is attacked by a criminal gang. Our hero manages to kill one of the attackers, but his Talia was injured. Now it’s open war, Jeremy can’t accept having put Talia in danger. He is determined to kill Hagan, to end it once and for all… What are we willing to do to protect those we love? To what extent are you willing to put yourself on the line, carrying out actions you would never have dreamed of? These are some of the issues that deeply animate the dynamics of the action film directed by David Barrett, who is absolutely at ease with the genre. The director himself declares that this is “one of those films in which the action is concentrated entirely in the characters”.
